Competition Information

We are excited to share that Purdue will be sending one team to represent us at the 2026 Michael Smith Business Ethics Case Competition, which will take place virtually on March 28, 2026.

This year’s case will focus on the timely topic of major event variable ticket pricing practices used by major ticketing companies. Case materials will be distributed to the selected team two weeks prior to the competition.

Competition Details:

  • Teams must consist of 3-4 undergraduate students (any discipline)

  • The selected team will present for 15 minutes, followed by a 5–10-minute Q&A with judges

  • 1st Place: $2,400

  • 2nd Place: $1,200

To be considered as Purdue’s representative team, interested groups must submit a one-page team statement by March 1 that includes:

  • A summary of your past case competition experience and notable achievements

  • How do you plan to collaborate effectively as a team

We anticipate strong interest and look forward to reviewing your submissions. Please reach out to Cristin O'Shaughnessy at crprince@purdue.edu with any questions.
